Hi! I’m Max, I’m a writer, director, producer, and editor. I am a recent graduate of The City College of New York where I studied film. I love making films, having already made eight so far. I also have a passion for screenwriting, as I’ve written four features, two pilots, sixteen shorts, and five plays. My recent film, “blank squares” won Best Screenplay at the Reel City Film Festival.

I’m mostly interested in the stories of young people, especially teenagers. I feel like a lot of teenage representation nowadays is so artificial with those films being written and directed by people who are usually over 20 years removed from that experience. I just want to bring teenage stories back to the days of John Hughes when verisimilitude was honored above everything else. I also love to write stories about flawed people, the characters I feel that are usually the most interesting in any story. I believe powerful conflict can be internal as well as external.
